13/7/2019 (Group 2)
Today we set off to San Francisco for some sightseeing and we had a lot of fun as we enjoyed ourselves and relaxed after a hectic week of classes. In the morning, we visited the Cal Academy of Sciences and inspected a variety of different animals, from marine creatures to crocodiles, we were definitely overwhelmed by the liveliness of the atmosphere. Through looking at the breathtaking butterflies as well as some rare sea fish, we learnt that the every earthly creature is vulnerable and should be preserved. After lunch, we went to visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Although the weather is a bit foggy, we still had a great time enjoying the enchanting view of San Francisco. Next, we headed off to Pier 39. During our free time there, we had great fun observing how local people enjoyed their weekend there. The jolly mood of the pier was indeed a highlight of our visit there. After the exhausting trip, we went back to the Stanford campus for a tie-dye T-shirt activity as we all made use of our art skills to dye the shirts. Lastly, we had a splendid time singing with other international participants of the tour as a perfect ending to our fulfilling day.
