Today was the star of this tour- trip to San Francisco. Firstly, we headed off to California Academy of Sciences. There was a huge dinosaur at the entrance; we went to the wetland ‘dome’ and aquarium beneath it. It was a really fun experience to have such a close interaction with beautiful butterflies. We realized that science was not only the boring texts on our textbooks, but could also be engaging as it was about the beautiful mother nature.
Unfortunately, the weather at the Golden Gates Bridge was very foggy but at the same time it was very sunny in the afternoon. We could not see the bridge but there was great sunlight, we even took an ‘innovative’ picture with Ms C. Fung. We all had lots of fun taking pictures with poses which might seem strange to others, but contains wonderful meaning to us.
Followed by the most loved activity of girls- shoppings! We went to the Pier 39, the weather was really great and it was really crowded. We bought souvenirs for our friends and family and we shared 2 scoops of ice cream. The fresh wind and warm sun in San Francisco relief us from the stressful first week in Stanford.
At night, we tried to tie dying our white t-shirts at the Synergy House. It was an interesting and fresh experience as most of us had never tried tie dying before.
Afterwards, we spent our free time together with other campers, enjoying the wonderful evening by singing altogether. Even though we may all have different skin colours, speaking different languages, from different backgrounds, music was always our common language and we all share these meaningful and heart warming moments. Time passed by swiftly along the singing and we all ran back to French House, leaving Will behind.
