Today was Sunday the Funday! We had our campus field trip around the Stanford university, mini games with our teammates from global solutions project, and shopping at the Stanford Shopping Center. This was a exhausting but extremely miraculous experience.
We started the day by taking group photos at different iconic spots inside the campus. First stop, we went to the main quad. The Church there had a gorgeous architecture and a stunning oil painting. We were wowed! For the next stop, we arrived at the Stanford oval, which had a huge ‘S’ in the center of a piece of grassland. We really enjoyed the greenery there as it was very relieving. Then, we passed by the water fountain on the way back to the dorm. It was definitely refreshing if we can go in the water!
After lunch, we met with our friends at the synergy house. To our surprise, we had many mini games! Two of the most thrilling games were the water balloon fight and the giant jenga. For the giant jenga, we felt a sense of pride every time we successfully poked out the block and stacked higher and higher. Team spirit was an essential element in this game. Moreover, water balloon fight was incredibly fascinating. Although we were all drenched, we still love it so much!
Last but not the least, we had a long shopping time at the Stanford Shopping Center. After a 30-minute walk from the dorm to the mall, we finally arrived there with our tired feet. It was a pity that we could not buy as much as we want since most of them were luxuries. On the other hand, we had a precious opportunity to have dinner outside the campus. We went to The Melt, which was very well-known for its burgers. The burgers were totally mesmerizing and mouth-watering. It was really a must-try in here!
It was an pleasurable and awesome day that we would never forget. We await for the unforgettable memories ahead in the coming week!
