7/10/2019 (Group 3)

Today’s the second day of our Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Institutes programme, we’ve participated in various interesting and meaningful activities! For highlighting today’s major events, we had our Global Solution Project (GSP) kickoff ceremony, joined a class about creative writing and had loads of fun in Scavenger Hunt.

Don’t ever assume the sharing on GSP is just about copying notes! Throughout the short sharing and games the counselor and teachers have organized for us, we are definitely able to learn more about multi-culturalism and how to communicate with each other that have completely different culture backgrounds or from various countries. We have understood that we should always respect one another’s background and accept different personalities and behavior; all individuals have their own unique values!

The lesson on creative writing had drastically boosted our imagination and writing skills, both the team and individual works could help us to improve our stream of consciousness. This lesson varies from those we had in Hong Kong, and among all, the most unforgettable activity was ‘free writing’, we were all engaged in this unrestricted and free format of writing. We had an incredibly meaningful time with the professor, we’ve gained a lot from this class! While for the Scavenger Hunt, although it was extremely sunny, we enjoyed our time traveling in the campus with our counselors and completing various fascinating missions or taking gorgeous photos everywhere. Although at the end of the night we got a bit tired, these activities were absolutely valuable which brought us and students from other countries closer, they were completely extraordinary cultural exchange experience for all of us!
