15/7/2019 Group 2
Today we first went to the Digital Anatomy Lab. We were introduced to anatomy briefly as well as the facilities in the laboratory, such as the virtual anatomy dissection table. We also got to see and touch preserved organs of cadavers. We learnt about the structure of the brain with a real brain in our hands. The postgraduates showed us the different nerves and vessels in the brain which strengthen our knowledge on neuroanatomy.  Also we were showed the abdomen of human. We saw the stomach, liver, diaphragm, the intestines, spleen, etc. Besides, the postgraduates showed us the virtual anatomy dissection table.
Next we had a lesson about effective leadership. We learnt that the first step of being a leader is to build a good relationship with ourselves. We formed a “human pyramid” to learn the importance of this fundamental concept. We also learnt to face the “little voice” which refers to our worries and concerns that stop us from doing things. The tutor taught us to be aware of these thoughts, yet try to ignore them and look at the reality, so that we won’t be affected by them and can gain confidence. We played a game of following the dance movements of a “dance leader”, all of us had fun.

After that we went to the synergy house for the meeting of the Global Solutions Project. Today we had further discussion on the four main aspects: sustainable environment, immigration and assimilation, economy and trade so as human rights. We also named our East Island “Paredin” which means ‘equality’ and ’fruitful, well-watered’ in Spanish. We were getting along well with our teammates.
